Awakening late
Oh my!
Throwing on a uniform at a speedy rate.
Running downstairs
Grabbing a cereal bar
Running a brush through my hair
Look in the mirror
Sigh with relief-
No big fashion error.
Eat the cereal bar
Run out the door
Down the driveway and curse;
Forgot one thing more.
Back in, grab satchel
Out again- oh! The bus!
Sprinting under heavy weight
Get there; the driver says tsk
Look for a seat
Is there one left?
Find one- but
Next to a kid known to theft
Driver says to hurry
Sit next to the kid.
He smells of bubble gum
Long been chewed
He turns and looks
At the idiot who
Chose to sit by him.
Thank you, alarm clock for going off late.
