Should we be ashamed to admit when we need a helping hand?
I knew someone who felt unashamed
At least he portrayed himself as unafraid
And maybe he was
But even when he asked for a helping hand
He didn't accept it
Which showed just how ashamed he really was
I think it's ludicrous really.
To be ashamed.
Especially when underneath it all
We're all the same
Dealing with the same issues that face each human daily
Issues surrounding love and lack thereof
Happiness and lack thereof
Success and lack thereof
A million things and a lack thereof
No one is immune.
We're apart of this huge community
This extremely extensive global community
And we are all ashamed to ask
We shouldn't be ashamed to ask
We should be ashamed we're NOT asking
That we're not accepting
That we're not offering
That we're not working together
Don't feel ashamed that you may need help
Whatever that help may be
Chances are;
There's someone who needs your help
Whatever that help may be.
