Love And War Chpt.67

As the next few days passed Adam grew increasingly frustrated as he tried to remember.
I walked into the spare room where he was sleeping, with coffee. He took the mug and looked down disdainfully at it, 'coffee...' he said disappointedly, 'You usually drink it.' I said stung by his attitude, I reached to take the cup from him annoyed, he exploded, 'I'm sick of this, I'm trying to remember for you.' he shouted, he had never used that tone with me, or anyone. 'I can't keep seeing you get your hopes up each morning only to see the disappointment when I don't remember.' he said lowering his voice, 'I'm going to stay with my mum.' he whispered. I nodded sadly and walked out. I rubbed my eyes to try and clear them of the blur of tears, I went and sat with Amelie, rocking her gently, whispering how much her mummy and daddy loved her. A lone tear dripped onto her smooth head, causing her eyes to flash open. She didn't cry, only looking at me quizzically with Adams deep brown eyes, as if she was asking through her eyes what was upsetting me. I quickly wiped the tear away and kissed her soft head. I could hear the drawers banging in our room as Adam packed to go to England. I bit my lip to hold back the sob that threatened to escape from me.

I drove Adam silently to the airport, he sat in the back on his phone, clicking away the whole time. Amelie was struggling against the straps of her seat to reach her dropped toy. I saw Adam look up from his phone and look at Amelie's struggle then look back to his phone, 'help her.' I snapped, 'she's still your daughter, even if you can't remember her.' I said, my anger quickly turning to sadness at the appearance of this new side to Adam, with a jolt I realized that for the first that he was behaving like his mother, and it frightened me.

As I pulled up to the airport and Adam leapt out of the car and grabbed his case, he looked at me and said 'I'm sorry.' then he turned and walked away, I stood watching him until I could no longer distinguish his head from the others in the busy crowd.

So sad I literally cried. I wish I could write like that. You're the new Suzanne Collins.

When ever I read a dramatic and heart breaking story or any story for that matter,I feel like I'm the main character going through all this! That's probably why my heart is breaking!!! ;(

Please let him get his memory back and they get back together. And I really really hope he doesn't turn into his mother. What would happen with the baby?
