Aphrodite kicked at the dryad as it dragged her through the gateway to FaeEdge. The dryad was more or less unaffected. "The Crystal Girl kicks the Sister of The Oak-Words. Crystal, a precious stone. The Sister is not hurt by this. Hurt, unwell, injured." Aphrodite let out an exasperated breath. "Where are you taking me then?" She asked irritably. "The Sister is taking the Crystal Girl to the Council of The Tree-Age." It responded absentmindedly. "They will believe the sister has seen group of humans and Fae, oh yes. Seen, sighted.
They will accept the Sister of the Oak-Words back into the Council. Yes yes, they will." Aphrodite remained silent. She was begging to realize the Dryad had lost its mind. "What if they don't believe you?" She muttered apprehensively, craning her neck to look the Dryad in the face. "If they don't believe the Sister, I will take the Crystal Girl to the DeathFae. They will kill her with their teeth or claws. Kill, remove life from." Aphrodite fainted.
She began to come to, and heard snippets of the conversation the Dryads were having. "This is a CrystalFae. We have seen many, they are common in FaeEdge. Why would there be one in the MortalSpace? Begone, Sister of the Oak-Words." The high voice of a new dryad said. She heard the Sister wail, and was dimly aware that she was being pulled. She opened her eyes, and saw that the dryad was flying her through ShadowSpace. They abruptly turned left, into the space where the sky was grey, and everything was withered and dead. The dryad dropped her on her back, wailed again, and flew away.
Within a matter of seconds, she was surrounded by five creatures. They had no wings, and they were eyeless. Their faces were cracked like broken china. One smiled, revealing a mouth full of long, jagged teeth. It reached out and clawed a gash across her face. She pressed her hand to it. It felt warm and sticky. She let out a shrill scream.
Posidon, Hades, Hermes, and Hecate stared at the tree. Hades pressed his hands up against it. It was solid.
Hecate looked grimly at the others. "There's only one way we can get in. We go through Hellspace." They walked in a line until they reached the dropoff. Hermes looked down at the gaping void. "Ready?" Asked Posidon quietly. And they jumped.
