The night was young,
Not a star in a sight.
The moon still hiding,
That silent night.
The earth stood still,
The rivers calm.
A chill flew by,
Though did no harm.
And on that night,
A star shot by.
Within a glimpse
My heart did fly.
The skies broke out,
From dark to bright.
My body shook,
Though not with fright.
Then tiny stars
Flew down to me.
Each one so small,
That now were free.
I lay down flat,
The world just right.
I shan't forget,
That perfect night.
