Chapter 22:

The business was thriving, and I received daily comments about how fabulous everything was. After one month we were doing great, with plenty of income going straight towards the shop. Cindy was so pleased that I wanted to continue with the shop after her as she felt selling it to a stranger just wouldn't be right. She had kindly offered to give me a very generous discount off the selling price, and I hoped it wouldn't be long until the petit property was mine.

I had bookings everyday, often more than one, and loved visiting new houses and meeting more and more people. It was a magical industry and I felt so blessed to be working there.

Matt had been so supportive and as an extra treat, informed me that he had something very excited planned for the weekend, although I had no idea whatsoever what it could be.

When he came over the next day, I began to get terribly excited as I knew I would be finding out what my little surprise was. He had brought me a huge bunch of sunflowers with polka dot wrapping and kissed me gently. We chatted for a while about Cindy and the shop and all the recent events, and in the middle of a conversation slipped an a4 sized envelope under the table. "What's this?" I asked, picking it up lightly. "Just open it," he replied with his loving eyes.

I couldn't contain my excitement and ripped open the envelope, when the most exciting picture appeared in front of me, as well as two flight tickets. "Well?" He asked as I looked dumbstruck into his gaze. "I love you." I replied hugging him tightly, as well as my precious gift. "Well, I know how much you love Paris so I knew I had to take you, and now is the perfect time." I squeezed him even tighter, never wanting the moment to go away. "But what's best about our trip, is that I'll get to kiss you underneath the Eiffel Tower, and love you just like a Parisian would.
