The Wedding Shop

Chapter 23:

We arrived at the airport extra early the following Friday night as we both enjoyed looking around all the shops inside the terminals and having plenty of time to spare. As we finally finished passing through all the security checks we had time to relax as we both prepared ourselves for the exciting trip ahead. I had been to Paris many times as my dad lived there for two years and had relatives living there, but I was especially looking forward to this visit as I would be sharing it with a very special person.

The flight went so quickly and stepping out the airport, I breathed in the crisp Parisian air as my stomach did flutters inside. It was my favourite city in the world and each time I left I had plenty of amazing memories to share.

My dads cousin picked us up from the airport as he usually would for our family and I was so happy to see him. He did his usual tour around all of the amazing sites and of course the Eiffel Tower at night is truly spectacular. It lit up with thousands of golden lights that could be seen from miles away and I loved seeing plenty of people and crowds, despite it being such a late hour. He let us stay in his second apartment that looked right onto the Chenselise, with breathtaking views of the magical city. We decided to get an early night as there was lots we wanted to do in the short space of time that we were there.

"Night, Soph. I love you."
"I love you more." I replied squeezing him tightly. "We have lots to see this weekend!"
"Well, actually I've extended the trip slightly so we can stay for a few more days, is that ok."
"Perfect." I replied, as I knew exactly what I would find on my brief encounter with the amazing city, known for its spectacular fashion and design.

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."
