Chapter 21:

I had made an order for a few more dresses from Chris, although at the moment, the money towards the business was quite tight, and made my way to my first ever house fitting. I had worked things out carefully, so that I was getting the dresses for a good price, due to my contact with Cindy and Maggie, and making decent profit. I wasn't nervous at all as I was doing this purely for the shop, and was familiar with everything already.

I knocked at the thick oak door, then stepped back to admire the grand house. There were climbing flowers across the walls and little shutters for each window. It was purely elegant. A pretty woman greeted me with a warm smile; she appeared slightly older with long wavy brown hair and pretty green eyes. She wore skinny jeans and a shirt, with amazing high heel cuff links. "Hi there! You must be Sophia!" "Hi, Miss Atkinson. It's lovely to meet you." "And you too my love. Please, come in."

Her home had a soft fragrance wafting through the air, and little tea lights were lit around the tables. Her staircase spiralled high up to the next floor and unusual rugs had carefully been laid out. "So, I'm very excited to see what you've chosen! I must say, you're idea is very original, and I love how you put up all the links to the bridal sights so we could chose specifically. Just fabulous!" "Oh thank you. It's been fun creating all of these ideas, especially as I'm young and still experimenting, it's been amazing." "Wow. How old are you exactly?" She asked with a friendly grin. "Coming up to twenty, still a baby really." I replied feeling awfully timid. "Well you're a very talented young entrepreneur my dear, you'll go really far, I'm sure."

I showed the future bride a few of the dresses I had selected; she had told me that her preferred designer was Vera Wang™ and she was really into bigger, more voluminous designs, so I felt I had chosen the perfect one for her. As I finished adjusting the buttons at the back, she looked in the mirror in total awe, and my reaction followed exactly. She was stunning. Her curves fit the dress perfectly, and the laced straps that sat just below her shoulders looked comfortable and classy. It was tight, up until the waist, where it gently puffed, swaying as she moved. The trail was long, but perfect for dancing in, and was easily adjusted. She had let down her hair so the veil brushed against her shoulders and covering her face with innocence. My eyes watered as I could see how happy it made her. Her mother, who had joined us later, stood up and hugged her, as well as me. I had made her dreams come true, as well as fulfilling mine at the same time.
