Chapter 29:
Jasmine looked around the shop in awe. She slowly walked around, gently rubbing her rather huge tummy and after her tour round the my almost finished project skipped over and hugged me.
"I love it! It already looks amazing Soph!" She said rubbing my arms.
It was so nice to have her back; it wasn't the same when she was in America. I was so happy she liked the shop and hoped she would still be willing to help me out.
We went out for lunch and chatted about everything that had happened in the four months we had been apart. She told me that Sam didn't want to move back as his job was doing really well, but she wasn't happy there and was so far away from everyone she knew and didn't want her baby to grow up in that sort of environment. She had fallen out with her fiancΓ© over the topic and was hurting from his lack of support. Sam was still in the US, but promised to come back at some point this week to help her finish things off for the big day.
We went home and had a girly sleepover with popcorn and plenty of rom-coms. I tried to squeeze the baby's gender out of her but she wouldn't give anything away. She was pretty big, but it was still really hard to tell. She would be staying with me until the wedding as they were still moving all the furniture back into her old flat, and I couldn't wait to get her into her dress.
We fell asleep very late, which left me waking up at 10 the next morning. Jasmine wasn't in her bed which worried me slightly and my parents hadn't heard her go in the morning; didn't help she wasn't answering my calls. As the hours passed I began to get worried, and called everyone that may have heard from her but there was no news.
Finally, at 4:00 I got a text saying meet me at T.W.S. xx
I quickly rushed over to the shop, hoping everything was ok, and as I hurriedly parked my car, I saw Matt jog over with a blindfold. Confused, I tried to rip it from my face; I wasn't a fan of surprises at all.
"Stop it soph! You're gonna love it." He said stopping in front of me and kissing me. I felt the sunlight pour onto my face and suddenly felt reassured.
I heard the bell chime out and knew I was in the shop. Matt slowly pealed the black cloth from my face and felt my heart soar inside my chest. The shop was just, I can't even describe it. How they did it in such a short amount of time still amazes me to this day.
