I'm just a shadow of my former self,
Living with the ghosts of my past.
They're knocking on my doors,
They're begging me to come back.
Common sense was always something I lacked.
So I turn around,
And they pull me in.
They chat, laugh, talk,
Like we're the best of friends.
But deep inside, I know,
They're just trying to kill me.
I don't know what to do,
But I've got nothing to lose.
They've taken everything away.
My hope, my happiness,
Even the pictures of our wedding day.
They said they'd apologize
If I just went with them inside.
So I follow them,
As they pull me in,
Pampering me,
And telling me I'll be okay.
But deep inside I know,
They're just trying to kill me,
But I've got nothing to lose.
