Bang.
Lydia was falling, falling.
Boom.
Lydia hit the ground, oh how it hurt.
She grew blind. All Lydia could see was red, seeping into her eyes, into her mouth, covering her. She was drowning in her own blood.
Breathe, she told herself. But the pain in her head was too much too bear.
She could imagine what she looked like now. Lying in her own blood, a fragile young girl, so innocent. Maybe she was smiling. But on the inside, she was screaming. Her heart was racing. Her forehead was on fire. She couldn't comprehend what was happening to her, it had all happened too quickly.
But eventually, her heartbeats grew slower, and her thoughts became cloudy as her eyes fluttered shut.
