If there was a painting To represent so far my life It would be made up of mostly greys With the sporadic splash of white
There would be no vibrant colours like bright yellows, pinks or greens It wouldn't be a smiling portrait Or two people in a loving scene
It wouldn't be signed by the artist He couldn't be proud of this lifeless work It wouldn't be hung up in a gallery It would have no value, price or worth
But that painting can be forgotten A new artist will take control The canvas is completely blank now And I will paint with my heart and soul
