I Feel Like A.....

I feel like a tall
unclimbable tree
In a forest surrounded
yet still very lonely

I feel like a grey
Withholding rain cloud
Waiting to burst
And release what I shroud

I feel like a pale
Imitation of a man
Gaze fixed towards my feet
Not fallings my only plan

alone

Alone. Shouldn't moan. You only complain. When I'm there. So why should I care. Space. In this place. You wanted more. Room to breathe. Why should I leave. Sound. None to be found. I keep my company.

The Loneliness Of One

Despite being surrounded by a crowd, I feel isolated. One is the lonely number, Even though I am a half of two. My footprints march through the sand, Separate and distinct from the others.

Alone

You stare up through the ceiling, Wondering if there's a God. You feel like David Bowman, Alone in his space pod. You stare down through the floor, Wondering if there's a Hell.
