"It" Takes Over

The middle aged man
Who's done it all
He lived a life
Before his fall
He had three kids
And loved them well
But "It" took over
And then he fell

The teenage mother
Who's child was taken
An untimely death
Which left her broken
Then "It" was found
The pain was numbed
And to the dark
She succumbed

The innocent girl
Who bowed to peer pressure
That one little hit
And she's gone for forever
Her life was on track
All going so smooth
Until "It" came along
And ended her youth

The office worker
Who needed "It" to de-stress
To help him keep going
He's without "It" depressed
On one particularly bad day
He took way too much
He fell into to the black
After "It" gave him a push
