When I close my curtains When I veil my sight That's when I see her most vividly And my brain begins the fight
It's a struggle to forget It's impossible to erase The image of her body And the beauty in her face
I have to keep my senses busy And my mind on other things With my eyes I read and write With my voice sometimes I sing
I fill my mind to the brim With things like films and TV It's just a diversion tactic To stop me thinking of a certain pixie
So my curtains remain open As long as they can stand Some people call it insomnia I call it my only plan
