I await their arrival Those knocks on the door Their constant bell ringing Six or seven maybe more
The candy is ready The sweets that they crave To get to these treats They will have to be brave
At the gate there's a spider As big as a cat And in the tree just above Ten vampire bats
If they get past these dangers To arrive at my door Their ordeal isn't over There's much more in store
You see my butlers a zombie Who loves little kids Okay it's not real But my makeup's the biz
And yes I dressed my cat Like a spider this year And let him out in the garden To heighten the fear
With seven legs on his costume And his tail that makes eight If it wasn't for his meowing The illusion is great
And the bats in the tree Well they're plastic it's true With red lit up eyes Dancing when the wind blew
They get to my door In fun instead of fear Another Halloween without fright I'll get them next year
