Please repost I really need to get word out because I really want to help!

I have OCD myself and I just really want to know if anyone has OCD too and if you do, what your situation is and your 'rules'. You'll get what I mean if you have it.
You don't have to share if you don't want it's just it will make you feel better talking to someone who understands.
Since I want you to share I'll share too.
I have probably the most common genre of OCD: cleanliness. I had all sorts of rules. Too many to explain but here's some(chronologically):
• repeatedly washing hands
• at some point started wearing gloves not because I didn't want to get dirty myself but because I didn't want to dirty everything else
• then soon enough the gloves weren't a strong enough barrier so I started gradually not being to touch anything even myself
Eventually there came an amount of time were I ate and drank so little I almost had to go to hospital. No worries. This is the point where I go uphill and not down.
Now I can freely do anything I want and I don't let OCD take a hold of me. It all DOES get better. Maybe there are traces of it but it ain't bother me no more so it shouldn't bother you either.
BUT and I MEAN BUT... YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN AND FIGHT FOR IT.
This is seriously just another obstacle and you just got to get around it. I know it's a fight in your head but you have to win and fight it not avoid.
I know I rambled on and I really thank you for reading. I want to really be of help to anyone out there so I'm hoping this could be the advice centre. I really want to help everyone so anyone reading please repost. Need to spread word of how serious this can be.
