Falling

The black clouds; heavy, damp. The ground looming; black, hard.

I was falling, falling to my death and yet I was not scared. Pure adrenaline ran in my blood, I had no time to be scared. Breathless.
The air couldn't get to my lungs. I gasped as I saw what evolution had done to the beautiful world, some how taking in enough air to save my lungs. Ash hung in the air, no life remained, it was cold, so very cold.
The green burned to grey. The blue painted grey.
This was it. Nightmares couldn't come close. Or could they?

Sweat poured down his forehead. This. Life. Dead.
The blackened scenes where horrific, he imagined the deaths of his race. What could be so horrible. His mind. That's what; these where tricks, played on his sleeping mind. BANG. And he was awake only to realise he didn't need to sleep or for his mind to take over, for a nightmare. And he knew his had only just started.
