Burning The Negatives

You came into my life
And filled my days aglow
You made me feel alive
You said you loved me so

We went out on our dates
We often stayed out late
On camera you capture us
Moments of love and lust

With many happy days
Memories in our frames
A ribbon strip of negatives
A play of all that came

But our time did pass
No longer love of my life
I felt the burning pain
The negatives set a flame

The negatives a mess
The melted plastic pics
A crack across the glass
My heart is torn a mess

Molten plastic burn away
Scar and scorch my heart
Once your burnt all away
I'll heal me part by part

Then the story starts again
Another in my life
This time I'll be more careful
Not to get set alight
