He shone in my blackest sky
Like the moon in the pit of night
A beacon in my darkest day
I never thought he'd take it away
Pulling me like the tide
My moon settled into my life
Turning me he made me roll
He filled me up making me whole
He took over the sky above
He took away all of my love
He moved on and created an eclipse
He blocked out the sun's existence
To the sun I'd gotten negligent
No light, love and nourishment
In the dark I faded into the gloom
Wilted and lost to the distant moon
