I'll be outside when I remember you,
Blowing kisses at the Milky Way.
I'll be standing on top of houses and scaling branches until I see night transform to day.
I'll be smiling stupidly beneath a blanket of the stars,
Wondering why on earth we became who we inevitably are.
I'll be awestruck and reverent, spying the constellations
Gazing at the moon and it's Swiss cheese foundation.
I'll be crying softly,
But not with tears of sorrow,
Gazing at the beauty of the universe and waiting for tomorrow.
I'll be out there every night, waiting for the dawn
Counting all the shining stars until I can move on...
