Out Running

I like to run
It puts a distance between the old me and me
I run in any direction I can
As long as it is away from me

The old me is a good runner too
Always catching up with me
Sometimes I think I have outrun myself
Only to find the old me right around the corner
Waiting for me
Smiling at me, taunting me

Always waiting for me
Sometimes the old me leaves me in peace
letting me enjoy me
Only to jump out of a letter
Or
Sometimes the old me rings
Just to say don't forget me
I'm still here

Can you outrun yourself
Can you run away
Maybe some time I will
