Far away with my friends, entertaining millions a year, yet most people fear my looks, if they only knew the real me, then they could truly see.

I will never forget that beautiful day, the sky was touched by patches of gray.

A mother approached me with a special request, to put this clown's power of laughter to the test.

She said it with sadness, it didn't come with ease, her daughter was dying with a fatal disease.

A sad story, yes this is true, but I would due my best, to make everything seem new.

Sitting in her wheel chair, alone and so unsure, what doctor's couldn't fix, I would do my best to cure.

At first she seemed so scared, withdrawn in her little space, I was quite determined, to put a smile on that sad face.

A magic trick brought life to those eyes so fair, she started to look with a curious stare.

Juggling three balls, on her face came a smile, falling down a few times, added to my goofy style.

Laughter finally came, her mother began to cry, a ray of hope it seemed, a once in a lifetime dream.

I finished my little routine, the best finale they had ever seen.

I gave the little girl a hug, then waved goodbye, a scene that caused this old clown to cry.

She touched my hand before I walked away, something very important she had to say.

I kneeled down, still with my little sad frown.

"Thank you Mr. Clown", she said with her childish glee, the best moment in my life, wouldn't you agree?
