Thinking Of The Mindless Man

Remember if you will, the day that sat quite still.

A moment frozen in time, with no reason or rhyme.

Trying to understand the tragedy that befell us all, denying the real reason it happened, its inhumane call.

Yet what brought us to this demise, is the very hand of mankind.

Humans not acting human at all, missing our true righteous call.

Our pride created this destruction, yet we still can't see, embracing evil when we should flee.

A mind to think, yet it lies rotting in its place, to be called human, yet not seeing compassion's face.

Started writing poetry officially in 1991, enjoy reading Edgar Allen Poe, reading and dissecting the Holy Bible, and listening to beautiful/inspiring people. Age has no bearing on creativity. Some of the most beautiful things come from those of much lesser age and life experiences. So listen to those young people!

Creatures So Small

In the evening things move about, my sight cannot see, when I wake to look, they all run and flee. Such curious creatures, they never leave a trace, Just one glimpse is all I ask, to look upon a face.
