I didn't have any expectations for this flick. Only thoughts was it looked and sounded like Transformers on sea.
But Battleship is a lot better that Transformers. Humor is a lot better that the slapstick child humor in Transformers. The story is not the best but still better the its counterpart. Effects was top of the line and I also have to mention the sound effect which worked great, satisfying and loud. :-) Leading actor Tayler Kitsch is great for the role and Rihanna did surprising well in her first movie. I was greatly entertained all the way. This is how a roller coaster rides should be. Rating: 8/10

Hey read your review, you sound as if you didn't really enjoy and just thought, isn't 8 a bit high? Maybe a 6 would be better. I've yet to see it, I was laughing during the trailer.
@Nicky as a blockbuster ride type of film it's an 8/10. :-) For me the movie looked and sounded like a bad idea from the start. Movie based on a board game by same name, made by Hasbro. But sometimes you get surprised I guess. :D
