My name is Linda, and I'm a human being. What that means exactly, I have no idea, apart from the obvious ten fingers, forty six chromosomes and relatively high intelligence. Or so I hope.
Sometimes the world seems big and brash, A ripping, roaring tide- Of shouts and yells and craziness, From which I want to hide.
I am strong because I know my weakness. I am beautiful because im aware of my flaws. I am fearless because I learnt to recognise illusion from reality. I am wise because I learn from my mistakes.
So much nonsense fills my head stressed by minor details, tricked that they are more significant, I lost for a moment there my certainty that I had grown used to, all has settled and returned now but...
Sometimes I find myself asking, "am I really different in a special way?" This question came up again today. I'm not really all that special, I don't have very good talents.
I’m trying to find something to base my life upon, Something in this strange world that goes on and on. As the years go by and time fades away, What used to be “good days” are now filled with dismay.
