When did we start not to care? Not to care about each other? Or have we ever cared what's happening to people we don't know?

How many of us would walk by a man who's lying on the street, struggling with breathing, holding his hand up, looking into our eyes and trying to say "Help me!"

Why don't you help? Why don't you care?

Because he looks dirty, better said, he looks homeless? And he stinks.

Is that why you don't want to go closer?

If he'd die just because you didn't help, how could you sleep in the night?

I know, you wouldn't even think about it, you'd just erase the memory of seeing him asking for help. And anyway, he was homeless, it's maybe better this way. That's only what you'd try to sell your soul, keeping it relaxed, that is what you'd do to feel yourself a good human.

Oh, don't tell me, you would have stopped to help him if you've would been in this situation. You wouldn't.

I know that already. You don't. You're trying to lie. Not to me, to yourself.

You wouldn't have stopped, because you wouldn't have even seen him.

Because you wouldn't have turned your head in his direction.

And if you would have seen him, you would have gone closer, you'd have helped him, there'd have been one person who cared.

Maybe you would have showed something to the people on the street, and they'd have realised you're the one who's doing the right thing, all of them were wrong not to help. And next time they'd act better...
