Rainy Skies

Deserted skies, gleaming their power.
Brilliant lighted strokes fill the earth.
Soft filled, rumbling clouds.
A hostile blueish grey compliments my world.
An outrageous downpour drowning these thoughts,
I stand in awe.
This sight could last a lifetime.
I could die with this beautiful cover, burying me.
A quick flick brings me to the floor,
closer to my bed.
Existence, itself, is put to shame when compared
to this magnificence.
Creatures of the night scream their warnings.
As the rumblings of the rain gods bring them to near death.
I enjoy this.
It is my true delight.
