Night Skies
So calm, the earth is asleep.
As I stand graced in its beauty.
The moon is so bright, so cold and alone,
Amongst the darkness of the stars.
Twinkling and scattered like the bits of hope.
So calm, no one is there to notice.
Except my lone self.
Scattered like the ruins of my heart.
The skies are there yet no one cares.
I stand, at ease, while a star, so silver,
falls to its destiny.
A sullen wish is made into the night,
As the sky falls and no one realizes.
I'm absorbed in the moment of freedom.
The silent earth, so pure.
I surrender my thoughts to roam and
All I can do is think of you.
