King Of Night

The night ran
For day was coming
Its bright lights burned
And the tables were turning
It gathered its stars and fled to the shadows
For daylight couldn't reach out all of its arrows
It lay there and waited
Until darkness would fall
Then night would be the ruler
Its king after all
