This is a screen play for a move that I had to make in film studies for my GCSE controlled assessment and I thought I should share it with you guys!! Enjoy reading it hope it's good ;D
Scene 1:
FADE IN:
BLACK SCREEN
Kerry is a simple girl with a simple face, has long straight black hair and is not very tall in height, she is average but she is a very, very bright student. Kerry is not to be seen in this scene but only to be heard. Sound of heart beating faintly in the background.
EXT. AT SCHOOL. 3:32 PM
KERRY (Whispering in time to the beating heart) It was my 9th birthday it was the end of the school term, I was walking home, I saw the police waiting at my doorstep…
The sound of the heart beating gets a little louder so does Kerry’s voice.
KERRY (Just above a whisper) …They came to tell me that I had now become an orphan, that I should come with them to find out where I should live from now on…but…
The heart beating gets very loud and fast (tense moment). Intense car crash sound effects over beating heart. Everything goes quiet and there’s a continuous ‘beep’ sound.
EXT.OUTSIDE CAMPUS’S ENTRANCE.EARLY MORNING.
Big scary instructors shouting at little children. Campus building is very tall and black. In the middle of the British countryside (hidden location) are 5 huge (separate) training fields, a medium-sized medical unit, one big running track all around campus and a massive shed with all the equipment needed for training (weapons, spying mechanisms/ tools, vehicles, a few small jets and armour)
Tour guide Mark is tall has short brown fuzzy hair, he is well built, is wearing a plain blue shirt with ‘campus’ on it and black trousers.
INT. INSIDE CAMPUS SECOND FLOOR. 10 MINUTES LATER.
First floor includes reception big dining room and another big room were everyone gathers to get their presents at Christmas. From the second floor to the fifth floor live all the children in campus. When you retire to become one of the staff members you either wear a blue shirt and black trousers or a navy suit (they live in another building back to back with camps, it looks identical to campus)
TOUR GUIDE MARK So Kerry… What do you think of our campus? It’s your new home now. Is it impressive or what?!(Grins)
KERRY (Quiet voices looking at the walls, doors and yellow floor, but tries to be polite) Erm…yeah, it’s very......err…big…and…err it- (interrupted by T.G.M)
TOUR GUIDE MARK (Interrupts Kerry) New recruits are always like you. Just looking around and not really paying any attention to what their tour guides are saying…(smiles kindly at Kerry and then takes a deep breath)… I was like that on my first day too…
KERRY (Surprised) You?! You used to go here?!
TOUR GUIDE MARK Yes! Yes I did. It used to be amazing the missions were adventurous and sometimes if you were lucky enough they’d be really dangerous I used to get all the girls when I was younger but I had to retire at 16… Sorry am I being a little awkward…
KERRY (In a happier mood) No, not one bit! It sounds very interesting; I can’t wait to get started!!
They stop in front a stylish oak door. Mark opens the door.
TOUR GUIDE MARK This is your new room…
KERRY Wow it’s better than I thought it would be…
Mark smiles softly at her. The room was medium sized. It had a small window opposite the door and a small flat screen T.V stuck onto the wall there was a simple pale yellow bunk bed, stylish light brown furry carpet and cream painted walls. There was a small desk with masses of scruffy papers, books and a laptop. The light had a round, olive coloured lampshade. There was a bin at the side of the table with scrunched up ball of paper flowing out of it. There was another door within the room inside was a smaller room with a shower, toilet and a sink.
KERRY What’s behind that door?
TOUR GUIDE MARK Oh, that’s the bathroom. Every room has it’s own one; by the way it’s your responsibility to keep it clean
KERRY Oh…do we have to buy the cleaning products
TOUR GUIDE MARK No we provide you with those when you run out. You also get pocket money every week depending on how good you are and if you hit the jackpot you may get tips when you succeed in a mission… Oh and by the way you will be living with a roommate. OK I’ll give you ten minutes to look around I’ll meet you in the dining hall but don’t be late.
KERRY Ok I won’t be. Thank you very much.
Tour guide Mark leaves to go to the dining hall. Kerry closes the door to her new room. As Mark is walking through the corridor he greets a boy (Richard) and girl (Ivy) who have recently come back from a mission together. Ivy has naturally tanned skin with shoulder length blonde hair, a bit taller than Kerry and has blue eyes. The boy goes to his room and the girl walks to Kerry’s room. She hears noise coming from the room; she opens the door silently and peeks through to see Kerry looking out the window.
IVY Can I help you?
KERRY (Turns around) oh hello…are you my roommate. I’m the new girl, Kerry, what’s your name?
IVY (Smiles) Hey Kerry it’s nice to meet you. I’m Ivy. I’m sorry if my room is messy but I’ve been away on a mission and not had any time to clean it.
KERRY (Smiles back) Oh its ok, I don’t mind my room is no different…
IVY I’m gonna go downstairs to get something to eat, I’m starving, you wanna come?
KERRY Yeah sure.
