Teen Girl

Her hair
So
Perfectly done.
Tied up
In a messy bun.

She thinks
This
Looks pretty cool.
Sprays it
Then goes to school.

Her makeup
Done
So thickly applied.
Lines of orange
On the side.

Black around
Her hazel eyes.
This is
Her only disguise.

Skirt shortened
Above
The knees.
Shirt undone
With rings and keys.

What she says
Her
Girly tone.
Texting dumb
On her pink iPhone.

This is what
Girls
Are like now.
You judge
You think she's a cow.

She is just
Scared
Of being herself.
She doesn't
Want to be left of the shelf.

@LittleKitten well I guess not for everyone :)

Left on* the shelf

Really good poem. It's so easy to judge people by what's on the outside and forgetting there is a person inside x
