I went to the orthopedist today...
the doctor's first concern was that I may have torn a major ligament in my foot, and if I did, I would need surgery.
After taking some more x-rays, she determined that my ligament is fine thankfully.
Her next concern was that you don't just get this kind of swelling and bruising randomly without serious injury.
So, I am being treated for multiple stress fractures.
The exact locations and number of these stress fractures hasn't been determined yet..
I am in a cast and will go back in two weeks.
The cast will then be taken off and I will have more x-rays done.
The doctor will be able to compare all of my x-rays and see where new bone is growing.
Wherever that new bone has began to build back up is where the fractures are.
Once she knows the number of stress fractures and their locations, she will be able to determine how much longer I will be in a cast.
Right now, she has said about 4-6 weeks.
My cast is neon pink though.(:
