In the lonely hours of the night in a bar, all you can really do is people watch with your colleagues on the bar, which proves as great light entertainment.
One thing I do notice is people, when sober in the dignified daylight, complain, moan, and discuss in disgust about the things OTHER people do when drunk. Examples include public urination, drunken fights, and attention which really should be confined to a bedroom.
Now as someone who is sober reading this, could you honestly tell me (and please comment on this if you can) why you feel that the actions I stated earlier are acceptable when you're drunk? I don't believe these actions seem at all appealing when you're sober (unless you're a rockstar or Lindsey Lohan), so why do they seem necessary when you're drunk. I put it to you the reader help me understand this. Because as we're sober these actions seem appalling, and when we're drunk we find them acceptable. There's a hypocrite in all of us, but I really dislike the thought that us civilised and dignified people would do the same.
