Funk is not music genre, it is not a way to describe something good by saying that's "funky". Funk is an emotion, it's a feeling.
You know when you hear the perfect noise in a song? The perfect beat? When you just laugh and shout "yes! Mr. Music man! Yes!". That's funk.
Funk is more than just something that wild cherry wanted the white boy to play.
To me, funk is soul, funk is what happens when you combine innovation and madness. It's something we all love. For Funk Sake!
