Friendly, kindly faces
Always by my side
I've been knee deep in snowdrifts
And slept on mossy banks
Been nose to nose with a mountain goat
Though that was a little rank!

Sitting on the step at the bottom of my stairs. Not doing very much, just brushing golden hair. A hundred strokes each and every day. My mum she often used to say. As I sit and brush each strand.
I lay down on the grassy hill Gaze up at the sky, hypnotized. Wisps and fluff meander on by, I wonder how they're formed, mezmerized... They swirl and play in the sky, Forever changing, unique shapes.
Quiet waves on the empty shore, Paint the canvas of my mind.. An impression of thoughts galore, A place where I unwind.. I feel the sand beneath me sink, As the waves touch my feet..
As I lay upon the grass. Gazing at the sky. I conjure mental images. In clouds that float on by. There's one that is big and fat. It looks just like a whale. And this one's like a little pig.
A flutter of graceful wings, like the petals of a mysterious rose,. Antennae gently swishing, a delicate grass-like pose,. Emerald green, peacock blue, velvet red,.
