Chapter I - The End Of Light
"I don't want to go in there." Mikey nervously said. "Come on Mikey, it's not true, come on, besides I have this torch, it will only take 10 minutes, I promise, come on." Derek replied eagerly.
Derek was older than Mikey by 5yrs but his arrogance and immaturity always let him down. Mikey had quite an old head for a 10yr old tho. He always achieved good marks at school.
"It's ok Mikey, I overheard my father say he come here every weekend, don't be scared, I will look after you." Derek reassuringly said.
Derek always was confident and had a way to make others do what he wanted, probably due to him being the elder of 3 siblings.
This night tho something was different, the sunset was quite unusual with brilliant shades of red/orange bleeding into purples within the scattered clouds that made Mikey feel quite uneasy.
Together the 2 of them walked off in the darkness towards NeedlePoint. Not many of the towns locals ventured this far but these 2 were now on a mission and Derek was VERY determined to see for himself if the rumours were true or not.
Avoiding the "keep out" barriers they edged further into the darkness, the beam from Derek's torch guiding the way. Mickey looked back at the sun setting behind them, now perfectly placed in the mouth of the cave's opening, something just didn't feel right with him but it was too late to turn back now...........

I wrote this little story/chapter about a month ago and forgot about it! I have no interest in finishing it off and thought others may like to do a chapter each and see where it ends up???
