Those that get too close to me Know or maybe choose not to see Yet they always end up hurt I guess I just have a curse
Am I heartless? No! Am I emotionless? No! Do I not give love? Always! Do I not live life? Always!
Some just get too attached No strings, no spies, no lies Some just get too attracted No rings, no ties, no cries
So if you want to play a game You may get hurt but I'm not at blame I'll tell you right from the start Please don't rule with your heart
Am I playful? Yes! Am I truthful? Yes! Do I not give warning? Always! Do I not live learning? Always!
So why then do others get so hurt? What words is it they think they've heard? I cannot be any more clear: You may just get hurt if you get too near!
