Inspired by Pink Floyds "The Wall" (for those that don't know, the album is about a "rock star" who goes crazy, his youth was just after the 2nd world war and they vaguely mention his father killed in action. If you know the film version you will know he has "flashbacks" to his youth/father and he finds his fathers war bits/memorabilia and a scroll in a draw, not much is said about his dad tho.) So thought I'd write from his fathers point of view, lol

Monday August 1944
Hello! All is well my only son This war is now almost won We have pushed the enemy back Their ranks have been cracked
The leaders have built another wall Our bombs will fall and kill them all Daddy will be home very soon Daddy will teach you a new tune
Once we destroy another wall We'll charge and kill them all We pray to God every night We pray we'll be alright
After all it's just another wall After all we're going to kill them all Soon we can all come home I'll see you soon my only son
Wednesday August 1944
Bad news my only son Daddy is almost done The wall wasn't made of bricks We just couldn't blow it to bits
Their wall was made from iron Daddy was injured badly from trying This will be my only letter I'm writing Daddy has to go now I'm dying
