Spoke about some old news

Who,what,why,when & where
Said the preacher from his ornate chair
You filled us up with self doubt
I guess you never really cared about that

I walked with an angel who had no place
We talked about some higher race
Said how do you fly this thing?
It's not too hard, but i'm still learning
I needed to be where you always are
Said don't ever compromise or pretend
Someday soon we'll meet again

Well I tried to make that girl my wife
But she said she wanted a better life
All the things she wanted to take
So I guess after all she really was fake

I know what your up against
Sometimes life gets too intense
Well I don't know if I want the pain to end or not
It comes and goes, but it never really stops
I'll keep crawling across the floor
Listening to some sad songs some more
