The division of an anecdote
Challenged by an immortal soul.
Effigies of gloating gods
Guarding hoards behind templed walls.
Ancient treasured carvings flawed.
Priestess kisses a hissing snake
Bounded in venomous seething hate.
Sceptic monkeys gathering pace.
Tombstones built down by a lake,
muted hidden shadows quake.
Crumpled ruins of pyramids and monoliths
Cracked, fossilised, overgrown
Seething goat gods left aborted
Civilisations unkept - unknown
Sacrifice the weakened souls
Appease the lactating monsters ego
Chanting habitual rituals pacing
heavenly wild Adonis - placed in
Highest genetic muscled torso.
Survived scorpions stinging tail
Antidotes left in alcoves
of grandest mausoleum.
Scattered pilgrims seeking definition.
Bleeding confusion holds
No quest on which to go.
Devour the feasts in falling towers
Locked deep in prisoned bowls.
Flowing rivers now deceased.
Baron wastelands increased.
Skies once seen - now falling down
Dark and mean has become the crown.
Lonely tree survives its breed,
Withering, mournful without seeds.
Oasis filled in poisoned heat,
Guarded by beasts consumed by greed.
Come together isolated pilgrims
Claim back these ways so grim
Manoeuvre - form attack divisions
Outwit the beasts defensive positions.
Infiltrate, copulate - bring peace back this today.
