Would your whole world fall apart, If you ran out of bread and milk? Would you run around till dark Trading possessions to eat?
How can we be so blinded by modified and processed foods? Exchanging survival for comfort and ease of goods?
Quick a delivery truck has just arrived Full of carcasses and splattered blood inside A battery hen clucks and sings to its death Surrounded by its family who cry out, "what's next?".
A stubborn cow refuses to release its white blood Farmer shoots it dead cos he's had enough Chopped and divided and the feast will be rewarding A vegetarian daughter screams out in the morning
So here we are living in ignorant comfort Blissfully happy to be unaware of the moment And the ordeal and suffering of some poor cow Who tried to deny man but she's dead now
Enjoy your barbecues and feasts You prehistoric caveman beasts And when you look at yourself in a mirror Then notice that you really should be thinner Will you remember the animals journey of suffering to be your next dinner?
