Everyone sat around waiting The dark clouds were not parting Twas the calm before the storm This one tho was not the norm
This really was a baron town Rumblings echoed all around The darkness covered the ground Something terrible was about to go down
A voice yelled out in pain Borrowed words of blame "For fuck sake!! Not again" She was quickly calmed by her "friends"
Then the rain came pouring This town was already in mourning Something had been stolen from us Thrown around madly in the dust
The storm was now gathering momentum A hurricane had touched down It was heading straight for them Nobody was safe in this town
Electrical pylons crackled and sparked Lightning lit up this night so dark The ancient river overflowed This violent storm put on a great show
Wild cattle and abandoned vehicles soared Deep rooted tree's and buildings roared All manner of debris was flying about Sirens and alarms screamed aloud
The towns people were waiting it out Inside the historic church; no doubt They were praying, hoping, but not really believing Jesus, it was going to be a long evening!
Then someone noticed another was missing Said, "why is she not here with us this evening?" She is the town's female leader A strange lady; a non-achiever
1hr or so, probably a little more The storm was passing now for sure.
Silence Then there was a loud crashing bang As a lady jumped when her iPhone rang A voice on the other end of the line said "It's me your leader; I'm not yet dead, I'm not lost, I've just about had enough Being away, I've found some interesting stuff I can't take it there anymore Too many storms and constant downpours Everybody wants a piece of me I can't live up to the pressure and I can't achieve So now I'm living in another dream of make believe."
The town's people appointed a new leader A king who brought equality with him He was a wise old school teacher The town was rebuilt with a grin As the town folk never do give in.
