He wandered into town
Where peasants were all around.
On the steps of the church
Was where he did perch
Yes he watched the world go by.
Farmers and children
Women and pilgrims
All hurrying quickly around.
He waited till night
For her to come into sight
Then he followed her into the saloon,
Up on stage she would be very soon.
Some outlaws and cowboys
Loose women and doubters
All came to see her wonderful show.
When the curtain was raised
The audience was amazed
As she began to strip of her clothes,
Within her mouth she kept a red rose.
She worked this rowdy room
As the band played their happy tune.
Then she did catch his wandering eyes
As she was wriggling on by.
Without hesitation
She left an invitation
He smiled as she left him her rose.
He finished up his drink
But he didn't really think
As the sheriff was sat by his side.
He got up to leave
But the law man was peed
'cos he was in his private seat.
So, at dawn they did meet
And she came out to see
Who would win her heart.
So with 10 paces at dawn
They turned on the lawn
Then they both remembered that she
was in fact a guy.
They had just pulled their triggers
As she sat and sniggered
When both fell down on their sides.
