Desperate

I lie in my bed for what seems like the thousandths time today. I stare at the picture of my mother lying on my bedside table. I heave a huge sigh and close my eyes. Moments later, I'm enveloped in the land of slumber.

I walk out of my house and instead of the other houses lined in a perfect array, I see a huge wood. I've never been into adventures so I turned right back around and tries to open my door. But I couldn't even see the door nevertheless touch it. I turn slowly on my heel towards the wood. At the end of the wood, I can make out a small cottage. The door slowly opens and out walks out my mom! Not Kate but my real mom! I don't have time to think before I bolt into the dark forest. As soon as I enter, I'm enveloped in darkness. I keep walking forward. Suddenly, the small cottage disappears! I try to run back to the light but I can't. I'm now in a small dark room. I start to scream and then...
dream over
I wake up not on my warm bed but on the floor with my blanket next to my book shelf.
"Weird" I whisper as I get up. I pick up the picture of my mother. My real mother. The one who I always loved and cherished. We had the same everything even the same dream. My mom always wanted to be a singer and an actress and then it passed down to me. I have a pretty good voice and an ok actress. I sigh as I realize how much I really miss her.
"What would you do mom?" I say to the picture. I know right now I seem crazy but a part of me wanted to believe that if I talked to the picture it would answer me. Since the picture can't obviously give me the answers, I think about it myself. I remember when I was younger, my mom told me when she was a kid, there was a girl named lilly. She gave her troubles but she always ignored her. One day, she overheard her making fun of her BFFs lost tooth and she stood up to her and they talked it out even though Lilly talked but my mom scolded and yelled.
I march to Kate's room and open the door. The sight that awaited me was truly frightening.
