A Pantomime

I become the lead role,
the whole world is my stage.
Sadly you can't skip over a scene like turning a page.
acting and sarcasm,
sometimes doing things you'd never do,
one mistake and you certainly haven't won.
it happens to be over,
the show can't go
on.
although we all try to change the past,
I'm sorry to say the changes won't last
the applause will decrease,
the dislikes will increase,
but wait, am I missing something here?
A small detail,
a theatrical deal?
is it necessary to speak in rhyme?
forgetting your lines from time to time?
is perfection needed to rule the world?
Because I've been places, and that's what I herd!
Is life really funny like a pantomime?
It promises lemons, it gave me a lime!
what if my character exits the stage,
will my audience react with rage?
Will they laugh, or scream, or shout?
Will I be then(hope not) left out?
what if this is my imagination,
just normal imperfection, loss of concentration,
I am the lead role,
the world is my stage.

It's important that we all know to aim high. But some people aim for the impossible, and fall down.
