The Shadow Part Two

Out the office I wondered wearily till I hit the big, towering sculpture of the late mayor redburn. The mayor had been another victim of the shadows cunning charm, luring his wife into killing him. She had hung for her crimes the winter before. As I got closer i investigated the plaque, a red envelope lay rested on the ridge, on the front In blood ink was my name. I picked up the letter and tore it open, in the same ink was the words "stay out or you'll be next". I stood there, was this a warning or a threat. So many questions were running through my head when I was startled by a womans scream. I ran to the ally were I heard the screams to confront a woman lying in blood, as I got closer I caught the last whisper of the woman "the shadow, TR".
