Pets are the hobby of my brother Bert He used to go to school with a mouse in his shirt
And his hobby grew as some hobbies will And it grew and grew and grew until-
Oh, don't breathe a word, pretend you haven't heard A simply appaling thing has occured
The very thought makes me ither and ither: Bert's brought home a giant gorilla!
Think that's not such a scare? What if it quarrels with Bert's grizzly bear?
Still think you'll keep your head? What if the lion from under the bed
And the ostriches that deposit Their eggs in Bert's closet
What if they all joined the Roar? What more?
It would be a dreadful day. And what would the neighbours say?!
