Amber Ruby

I had no idea on what to do next, so I got up and walked out of Harry's spare bedroom and locked myself in the bathroom and cried and cried until I had no tears left to shed.
"Amber? Are you in there? Are you ok, it sounds like your crying?" Harry said, muffled when I heard it through the thick door, I sniffled and gave him my reply,
"Yeah, I was crying" I unhooked the lock from the door so I could see his deep eyes again,"I'm just scared on what to do next, I'm so confused I just don't know what to do. I have had a call of the police! I'm just—"
"Hey, hey Ambs. everything will be fine,"he cut me off and slumped down on the wall next to me to try and comfort me,"Everything will be fine,"wiping a tear rolling down my cheek,"I promise. If its just you and me, everything will be ok, and that I am certain of."
He looked me deep in the eye and I could tell he was telling the truth,"Can I tell you something? It's a secret so dont tell anyone, please," I was going to tell him my feelings and that I felt guilty, but there was a faint knock at the front door and Harry started to get up onto his feet,"I really like you," I said catching him by the arm to look at his perfect face, his concerned eyes, his furrowed brow, his cheeky yet weary smile that could always keep me going, but not today. I slipped out of his arms and sunk to the floor, the knocking getting harder,
"Ambs. I gotta go get it, but if it's anyone who's related to you , I won't let them in ok?"
I nodded glumly and tucked my knees under my chin, hugged my knees, a tear trickled down my cheek as I wondered what my mum would be doing now.
"Amber? Are you in here?" I heard someone yell and it wasn't Harry.
"I'm here." I whispered faintly so they couldn't hear me, but I wouldn't lie if I said I didn't tell them my location.
"AMBER?!"
The voice was getting closer now, I quickly leaned up and slid the latch in the lock.
It clicked.
There was no escape from what was out there: was it the police?
My mum, dad, Alice?
I had no clue, but I still didn't want them to find me, so I stayed as quiet as a mouse until I heard the 'mystery person' exit and shake hands with Harry and tell him that no one was here other than himself.
"Amber, you can quit hiding now." I heard Harry say, but I wasn't quite sure if I should come out yet, there was an edge in his voice. An edge of warning.
