Crazy Kid

"hello sir, drivers licence please," the police man said, as Freddie got out his wallet and found his licence, I pretended to be asleep.
About 10 minutes later, our car was moving again, I sneakily opened one eye," Freddie, what just happened?" I whispered, not quite so sure where the police were now,
"I explain all in the morning, right now you need your sleep" he said, a I yawned, stretched and found another comfy spot, in the leather car seat. Soon, I felt the car brake, "It's ok hun, I've just pulled over so i could get some rest, we're 1/4 way there. Tomorrow, we need to get on the ferry, and it's 'good bye England for us!"
I smile opened my eyes for a split second I saw Freddie leaning in towards me, "don't worry!" he whispered in my ear. As he kissed my forehead, I swiftly fell asleep.
The next day I woke up, to find: my seat belt on,
My car seat elevated again, Freddie in the queue for the ferry, he must have woken up really early! "Freddie, what time did you wake up at?" I said nudging his thigh, looking up," are we almost there now?!? Freddie, you must have drove all night!"
"I doesn't matter what time I woke up,"he said winking at me,"and yes, we're queuing up for the ferry!"
I got up, stretched and tried to see if I could see the ferry that's going to take us there, "Freddie, what if the boat sinks, what if it'll crash into a load of ice burgs and sink like the Titanic?" I said, panicking a little, " did I mention, I haven't been on a boat before?"i continued.
"Hey, Milly, there's nothing to be afraid of," he said, trying to comfort me,"of course some boats do sink," he spoke a little quieter now,"but this one won't!" he said bright and clear.
On the boat, I sat in the car the whole boat ride, I slept in the car an I ate in the car, the only time I got out of the car was if I needed the bathroom - but I didn't drink much so that wasn't a problem. Until I found out I was/had.........
